indulgent workshops in
the shropshire hills
gorgeous crafts inspired
by the great outdoors
Made from waste silver from the photographic industry, this fantastic smart material allows you to make beautiful pure silver jewellery (999) in an easy and fun way. Not only is it reclaimed in the first place, it is also a no waste process. Tools and equipment can also be used for other crafts and often found from around your home.
Set in the idyllic Shropshire Hills, this workshop is inspired by the surrounding beauty. We’ll collect and use seasonal pants to pattern, texture and mould the silver clay. Explore different techniques including rolling and cutting the clay, as well as making and using moulds. You will then learn how to prepare the clay, fire and polish.
This lovely process allows you to be creative in an accessible way, so anyone can do it!
The full day will enable you to feel confident enough in the process to keep it up when you are at home, having made up to 4 pieces of silver clay in a variety of techniques.
This is a great workshop for making pendants and charms. If you would like to make a ring please book onto the ring making workshop as it requires more time and experience.
There is a maximum of 4 students per course so there will be lots of help and time to create your beautiful jewellery.
Children under 8 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
All your materials and tools are included as well as endless tea and coffee!
This workshop will be running on the following dates, other dates may be available in request; 8 April, 22 April, 29 April, 6 May, 20 May, 24 June, 22 July, 29 July, 5 August, 16 September, 14 October, 21 October, 18 November, 2 December, 16 December 2023
