Explore the beautiful possibilities of foil in this creative, hands-on workshop. Using a variety of techniques, you’ll learn how to add shimmering metallic decoration to paper, card, and bookbinding projects.

During the session you will experiment with heat foiling, glue foiling, and embossed foiling processes, discovering how each method creates different textures and effects. You’ll have the opportunity to try a range of tools, foils, and materials while creating your own decorative pieces.

Foiling can be used in many creative ways, from card making and decorative prints to embellishing book covers and paper projects, and this workshop will give you the confidence to explore these techniques in your own work.

The day is designed to be relaxed and exploratory, with plenty of guidance and encouragement as you develop your ideas and experiment with different finishes and styles.

All materials and tools are provided, and you’ll leave with a collection of foiled samples and finished pieces, along with the knowledge to continue using these techniques at home.

Suitable for beginners and those with some experience who would like to expand their decorative skills.
