Product Details

Work together or as a personal project, learn skills and explore this fantastic traditional craft and paddle sport. You will be guided through the construction while you work to craft your coracle. After refining and testing it you will have the chance to test out your craft on the water. We know you’ll have so much fun throughout the day. With a the perfect mix of making and paddling there’s something for everyone.

Come just for the experience or take the skills you have learnt and develop them further at home.

The cost covers 1 coracle build for up to 4 people. This workshop is great for all ages and can be tailored to individual and group needs. For larger groups or to construct a coracle per person please make multiple bookings.

Camp onsite for free when you book an in person course. 'Monty' our cosy retro caravan is available to hire for £30 per night (subject to availability). Our self catering 'Cabin in the Hills' will be available to hire later in 2026. Please enquire.

Day Courses - 0930-1530hrs

Location: The Old School Campsite, Shelve SY5 0JQ

For offsite bookings travel is charged on-top of the quoted price at 45p per mile.

All your materials and tools for the day are provided. Please bring your own packed lunch. If you wish to test your coracle on water you will need to transport yourselves to the water. Dependent on weather and water levels this may vary but will be no more than 30 minutes away. It will be sheltered water on a canal or river. We will provide paddles and all safety equipment.

Should you come for 1 or 2 days?!

The 1 Day workshop is a fun activity to introduce you to coracles, spend time together or have some me time! Your coracle will last for a few trips out on water and you are welcome to take it home with you.

The 2 Day workshop enables you to create a higher quality finish that will last much longer if you want to keep paddling your coracle after the course. Free accommodation on our campsite is available subject to availability, please enquire.

For in person courses all under 8's must be accompanied by a paying adult.
